Basketball, why do the rules vary

This post is going to be about my favorite sport of all time, Basketball! But what I’ll be talking about in this post is how the sport varies, from league to league, and within genders.

In mens basketball the ball is 29.5 oz and the women’s basketball is 28.5. In High school basketball the court is 84 feet by 50 feet and in college/pros they are 94 feet by 50 feet. I don’t understand why though, you don’t see the fields in football getting bigger and the levels increase.

The rules vary a lot in the sport too, some rules are the same in women’s college basketball that are in men’s professional but not college. A lot of rules are different when it comes to men’s college and below basketball compared to professional as well. When it comes to international basketball its a whole different story.

I just wish they would make the rules the same throughout the game.

Call of Duty should Stick to its Roots!

Yep, this is going to be another video game post. But this one is about about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and how it and MW2 are by far (in my opinion) the best Call of Duty’s ever created and why I Believe we’ll be seeing a MW2 Remastered very soon.

I was one of those people that played COD: Modern Warfare/MW2 for Ps3 absolutely loving ever minute of them. I spent so much of my time playing that game when I was in middle school, nothing compared to their PvP,  FPS playing style.

So when I heard they were remaking the first Modern Warfare damn straight I was getting a copy. The COD series had gotten so out of wack over the years that I just stopped playing them. They went from four good PvP games in a row, to crazy fighting styles and futurist moves that I didn’t find them near as fun as MW and MW2.

But the remastered COD has not let me down yet, I’m back playing online with friends I played the game with nearly 10 years ago, and its just as fun now as it was then. My only beef with the online play is that they haven’t brought creek back, which is my all time favorite map.

With the great success Modern Warfare has seen over the past few months I can easy see MW2 be remastered in the next year or two!

Steve Nash, Great Player/Person

If you are asking me who is one of the top point guards to ever play the game I’m always going to bring the name Steve Nash into the mix.

Steve Nash is a 2x time MVP, an 8x All-STAR, Nash could shoot the ball off the dribble, he could catch and shoot, hit any crazy layup you needed him too, and he was definitely hitting that free throw on the and 1. Even though he was a great scorer he was an even better passer, getting some of the craziest assist I have ever seen any point guard get. Being such a good passer he was named the NBA Assists Leader 5x.

Not only was Steve Nash a amazing player on the court he was a better person and role model off the Court. I started looking up to Steve Nash the moment I saw him play the game. I loved everything about his game, but after learning more about him I starting looking up to him as an impression seeing how hard he worked and what good he does for others. I believe more athletes should strive to have the repatriation of Steve Nash, and try to set the example for kids that Steve Nash did for me and some of my friends. nash-cares

Nintendo will always be the favorite

As you guessed this will be about Nintendo, and why it will always be my favorite gaming console company.

Where to ever begin, when I see Nintendo it takes me back to when I was just a wee lad. Me and my siblings would sit around and play Mario, Zelda, Banjo Kazooie, still some of the best games I’ve ever played.

Nintendo is the only console that I turn back to and always return to the older games even after beating a new one. Going back and running through levels on Mario takes me back to the living room when I was a kid. Even though I was mostly just watching my older siblings play it’s still some of the best memories I have.

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time is my favorite game of all time. It has so much replay value and never gets old no matter how many time you beat the game. I beat it a few times when I was a younger child, but I went back and beat it on a 64 about a year and a half ago and enjoyed it probably more now then when I was a kid.

I can’t talk about Nintendo and not talk about the old Banjo Kazooie games, they were simply AMAZING! They were so unique and adventurous you didn’t want to stop playing, you just wanted to keep going and going until you had all the notes and puzzle pieces complete. Their hasn’t been any banjo games that were anywhere near as good as the original Nintendo 64 Banjo Kazooie and Tooie, just another hit that Nintendo has under their belt of great games.

The roof of the Future

Elon Musk and his company have combined together with Solar City to work on making the solar roof of the future.

The picture above is one of Tesla’s first homes that they tested the roof on, and if you ask me it doesn’t look bad at all. It looks a lot like shingles and the blue that it reflects looks very nice.

Tesla’s new solar roof product, will actually cost less to manufacture and install than a traditional roof—even before savings from the power bill. “Electricity,” Musk said, “is just a bonus.”

These roofs above have been tested to withstand hail at up to 200 mph, and can take nearly 3x the force of a standard roofing tile.

I find this amazing that people in the next few years will be putting solar roofing on their homes that not only looks good and cost the same amount as their traditional roofing, but also produces electricity for their home and even for their vehicle, which is amazing!
